Here we are, at the convergence of two worlds, where the enchantment of Harry Potter meets the grandeur of Lord of the Rings. It's a tale of the lion meeting the lamb, or perhaps, how the ring found its perfect wand. This unique union, blending the cultural richness of a Hispanic bride with the whimsical desires of an African American groom, was a challenge and a delight for all involved.
For me, this journey began unexpectedly, as Michelle, our radiant bride, discovered my services through the venue's recommendations. From our first conversation, it was clear: we were kindred spirits, united in our vision for a wedding that would seamlessly blend two fantastical realms into one magical celebration.
But this wasn't just any wedding; it was a test of creativity and coordination. With most of my team unavailable, I embarked on this adventure alone, with only @anew_adjoa joining later to lend a helping hand. Yet, as any seasoned planner knows, the show must go on, and every detail must be meticulously orchestrated.
Why enlist the services of a planner? Here's why! Ensuring everyone is well-informed and prepared. The following brief video serves as a walkthrough for the photographers, ensuring they know exactly where to capture specific shots. Every aspect of a bride and groom's special day should be deliberate. While we typically conduct these walkthroughs at all events, this one happened to be caught on camera by one of the vendors. :)
Cue the walkthrough—a crucial moment where photographers were guided through the intricacies of the venue to capture every spellbinding moment. Each step, each angle carefully planned to ensure that every memory was immortalized in the most enchanting way.
Then came the cake, a towering masterpiece crafted by the talented @artsycaksey. As layers were stacked and icing delicately applied, it became clear: this wasn't just a cake; it was a symbol of love, perfectly suited to this extraordinary occasion.
Once again, witnessing the puzzle pieces fall into place and observing the magic unfold, courtesy of @artsycaksey. I believe this might be the largest wedding cake I've encountered. While many of my brides have shifted away from traditional tiered cakes, this particular cake was a perfect fit for the venue, the wedding, and most importantly, the couple. It exuded nothing but love..
With just six months to weave our magic, every decision became crucial. But as the day unfolded, it was evident that every choice was guided by love. From the smallest detail to the grandest gesture, this wedding was a testament to the power of dreams brought to life.
And as Michelle stepped into the space, radiant in her beauty, I couldn't help but think of Nat King Cole's timeless words: "Unforgettable." It was a moment frozen in time, a testament to the magic of love and unity.
And let's not forget the bouquet—I had the honor of crafting it myself, a testament to #youronestopcreativeshop.
As the night drew to a close, and the newlyweds basked in the glow of their love, one question lingered in the air: How does it feel to be #madeaneW? For them, and for all who witnessed this extraordinary union, the answer was clear: it feels like magic.

I love seeing the moment the bride enters the space. Like Nat King Cole said once, it is "Unforgettable"...

At the end of every wedding, every couple gets asked a very important question... How does it feel to be #madeaneW?
