Diary Entry:
Let’s talk about “The Halls” — where the story meets the setting, and the heart meets the scene.
I first met Courtney Jackson without her even realizing it. Our connection was one of those beautiful, serendipitous links that often bring people together in this line of work. Her mom and I go way back, both of us coming from the world of education. When Courtney’s wedding was approaching, she'd already mapped out most of the day. But, she needed a little help with those final touches, some extra hands, and a few polished details. It was her soon-to-be sister-in-law who ultimately nudged her toward my services — and so, with lists in hand, I jumped in!
Courtney is every bit my kindred spirit: Type A through and through. I could see the "Bridezilla" label lurking around, and I admit, I might have teased her a little about it. My approach was to remind her that we were in this together. "You’ve got the plan," I’d say, "but trust me on the polish." Late-night texts, countless emails — Courtney wanted to be there every step, and I couldn’t blame her. It’s your day, your story, and we’re just as invested in making it unforgettable.
Finally, the day arrived. It was one of those moments where everything just fell into place. This was my first wedding where I worked with my full staff — and honestly, I was so proud. There wasn’t a single hiccup visible to the guests. The entire day was a seamless unfolding of what Courtney had envisioned, all those little details she’d been holding onto with such intensity.
Afterward, when we got on the phone to relive the magic, Courtney laughed and told me, "If I’d known it would be this incredible, I would’ve just left you alone from the start!" (Oh, sure, Courtney!) But that’s the beauty of it. Every wedding has its unique moments, and it was truly special watching Courtney and Antonio’s day come together with the love and support surrounding them.
The day was captured perfectly by Ashleigh Crawley of Still Shots Photography. Each photo felt like stepping back into that space, the laughter, the joy — everything Courtney and Antonio wanted their wedding to be. Have a look at the gallery to see how "The Halls" became the home of their story, made aneW.
